Brent Green presents a distinctive and challenging perspective about marketing to aging baby boomers, having worked as a counseling therapist for five years, followed by 25 years in marketing communications as an award-winning creative director and copywriter. Through dramatic, high-end multimedia presentations, he enlightens audiences about the boomer business opportunity with the insights of someone who has been marketing to them since they were young adults. Author of Marketing to Leading-edge Baby Boomers, his book, workshops and speeches present the psychological, sociological and interpersonal dimensions of a generation quickly reaching the life stage associated with quiescence. As Brent declares: "They will not be quiet, calm, or disengaged. They will collectively redefine the connotations of aging and the purpose of life's closing years. They will set the stage for a long-term reorientation of American business to the value of its previously most undervalued population segment. They will bring to aging culture what they bequest to youth culture when they were boisterously becoming young adults four decades ago." This "fascinating and trenchant tome" discloses seminal strategies for marketing to one of the nation's most economically powerful cohorts. It also raises critical sociological issues such as generational discrimination, stereotyping and ageism. Brent is widely respected as an articulate, thoughtful public speaker and trainer. A graduate of the Dale Carnegie program, he was an assistant instructor for several years. He has been a leading member of Toastmasters International for over ten years, and he has received several first-place regional awards for public speaking. He has served as a trainer on the adjunct faculty of the Center for Creative Leadership. He is also a veteran workshop leader, focusing on helping senior executives manage media interviews and public speaking.
